Story

What a whirlwind of a week it has been! I am incredibly proud of how well my Grade 1  students managed such a busy and demanding schedule this past week.

On Wednesday, we enjoyed a wonderful mid-week outing filled with meaningful experiences and learning opportunities of exploration and hands on learning in the great outdoors and fresh air of Taoyuan. 

Despite having less time for review and preparation, the A1 students rose to the challenge, completing a formal assessment on Thursday followed by a test on Friday. This was a demanding schedule, especially for the students.

The students positive attitude and resilience has continued throughout the week. They approached both assessment days with confidence, focus, and determination. Rather than becoming overwhelmed, they stayed calm, worked hard, and gave each task their very best effort. Their ability to adapt to a challenging week has been truly admirable.

I feel very fortunate to share in their educational journey as they are such a dedicated and capable group of learners. Thank you for your continued support and encouragement at home. Your partnership plays an important role in helping our students develop confidence, responsibility, and a positive attitude toward learning.

Looking ahead to Week 8, we will place a greater emphasis on grammar conventions and writing development, giving the students more opportunities to strengthen their language skills and express their ideas clearly in writing.

A1 Week 6

Dear Parents, I wanted to share a little update as we head into the next few weeks. We have had quite a few changes to our regular schedule lately, so I wanted to keep everyone in the loop. Week 5 was a short week with Monday off for Teacher’s Day, and next week, Week 6, we will have Friday, October 10th off for Taiwan’s National Day . Then, during Week 8, we are looking forward to our first Experience Class outing on Wednesday , which will make that week a little shorter for the children as well. With all of these shortened weeks, we have quite a lot to cover, and it can be a little tricky to keep up with everything in our regular curriculum schedule. We will continue to do our best in class to make the most of our time together and keep the children moving forward.
